- Girls will be wearing silver caps and gowns and boys will wear blue this year.
- If you still do not have your cap and gown, contact Mrs. Funnell ASAP.

Senior Awards Celebration Note – This night is for special awards and recognition of our students. Each senior will receive 2 tickets for Senior Celebration. You must have a ticket to enter the auditorium. Tickets will be available during lunchtime from May . Seniors may pick them up at the Activities Desk in Mrs. Betz’s office. Guests must have a ticket in order to enter the auditorium for senior awards celebration.
If you would be willing to help with senior celebration (getting the graduates’ presents, donations, food, etc.), please let Mrs. Funnell know ASAP (564-4234), or e-mail her at Michelle.Funnell@indianriverschools.org. We need your help!!
Dress code for both Senior Celebration and Graduation
Graduation robes with appropriate attire underneath – Girls’ attire: wear appropriate length dresses or skirts and blouses, dress shoes; Boys’ attire: wear shirt, tie, pants, and dress shoes (no jeans, t-shirts, tennis shoes, or flip-flops).
Seniors are reminded that this is a ceremony carrying much dignity, and they are to walk across the stage and shake the hands of the dignitaries. Participation in graduation and senior awards ceremony is a privilege. All criteria must be met to walk in the ceremony. Seniors are advised to not involve themselves in any activities before graduation that would jeopardize their participation.
Graduation is a formal ceremony; therefore we ask that no one bring any noisemakers.
** Reminder to all seniors: All fines must be paid in order to participate in senior celebration and/or graduation.

Seniors are attending Grad Bash this Friday April 15th at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure need to be in the auditorium by 3:25p.m. All students MUST be dressed appropriately for this event.
There will be a “friendly frisk” of each student. NO medication of any kind will be allowed unless it is a prescription from a doctor. No food or drinks are allowed on the bus. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are allowed period. Students MUST BE PRESENT in school, and in all classes, all day on Friday to attend Grad Bash. Bus list will be posted in the senior dining room.

3/21/11- Senior Exam Exemptions
SENIORS EXEMPT FROM FINAL EXAMS---Per School Board rule 6.03.C. (2) Seniors will be eligible to be excused from final exams in individual courses during their last semester of school under the following conditions:
(a) They have maintained an average of B or higher in the course for each nine week grading period during the second semester or have a higher grade in the fourth grading period than the third grading period that averages to a B or higher.
(b) The principal may excuse a senior from exams under other conditions.

2011 Senior Grad Bash tickets will go on sale beginning Tuesday February 22nd during lunch at the bookstore. Tickets will only be sold during lunch on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s until March 10th. Ticket price is $85.00 and is non refundable. If you owe any fines you will not be able to purchase a ticket. Get your ticket early before the busses fill up! If you have any questions please see Mr. Wilson.

Directions for voting on Senior Superlatives from off-campus:
- When you click on the website, you need to enter your student login information, preceeded by: sdirc\.
- For example: user name: sdirc\holmesm password: 123456
- This should give you access to the site.
- Make sure you vote for both boy AND girl before you click FINISH on each page. You cannot go back and change a vote or add a vote once you click FINISH.
- Also, in order to vote, you MUST be classified as a senior. Per Mr.Wilson, if you are not classified as a senior because you do not have enough credits, you will not be able to vote.

YEARBOOK INFORMATION:
- Senior Portraits – Must make appointments by calling 1-800-330-8429. Photographer is in Melbourne and they must go to the studio. We don’t plan for portraits after November 20th. If not photographed, they won’t be in the senior portraits section.
- Senior Ads – Due by the end of the first semester. May reserve space now by paying a deposit. We have limited number of pages.
- Senior Superlatives – Be thinking about who they will vote for in various categories. We’ll be having online voting soon.
- Yearbook price increases after the 26th. They may lock in the lowest price ($75) by paying a deposit by October 26th.

Turn in your suggestions to one of your officers, representatives or Mrs. Funnell in the Media Center. Keep in mind, these are only suggestions at this time. Only appropriate items will be placed on the ballot. The ballot will be posted on this website. We will be voting on these items at our next meeting October 21st.
