#2002400 – Integrated Science I 1.0 credit
#2002420 – Integrated Science II 1.0 credit
#2002440 – Integrated Science III 1.0 credit
#2002460 – Integrated Science IV 1.0 credit
This is a four part series of courses paralleling international science courses. It is intended to show the relationship between the natural and physical sciences with technology and society. It emphasizes the development of reasoning, observation, scientific analysis, as well as clarity or expression – both written and oral in the foreign language. Topics include, but are not limited to, quantitative and qualitative chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, physics, geology, ecology, and evolutionary biology.
MARINE SCIENCE I HONORS Honors level 3 2002510
Credit 1.0
The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the marine environment. The content should include, but not be limited to, the nature of science, the origins of the oceans, the chemical, physical, and geological aspects of the marine environment, ecology of various sea zones, marine communities, the diversity of marine organisms, characteristics of major marine ecosystems, characteristics of major marine phyla/divisions and the interrelationship between man and the ocean.
