ESOL
This program fulfills the English requirements for graduation for those students who have recently arrived in the United States and whose native language is something other than English. They may remain in the program for 1 to 3 years depending upon their rate of language acquisition. Students are placed by grade level, and instruction is given based upon levels of English proficiency with appropriate materials and strategies. At the 9th and 10 grade level, ESOL students will participate in the Academy of Reading course along with other classes.
