Florida Virtual School offers a variety of regular, honors, and advanced placement courses on-line. Students must have the permission of their guidance counsular and parents/guardians.

College Visits/Information
All 2010 graduatin seniors that will be attending UF in the fall can compete for the Balanced Man Scholarship sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon faternity chapter, University of Florida. This scholarship is given to a young male entering UF who has demonstrated leadership, scholastic ability, and athleticism. The application is available on their website at www.UFSigEP.com and can be emailed to BMS.UF.SigEp@gmail.com .
Gardner-Webb University is now accepting nominations for their Junior Scholar Program. This means that interested students should submit a resume to Guidance by 4/28. This scholarship is offered to current juniors. This student can receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,000. He or she must ve ranked in the top 25% of his/her junior class and has demonstrated superior academic and leadership potential.
IRSC Tuesday Talks
Indian River State College visits Vero Beach High School to talk about the different programs they offer and that are available to incoming students. Avanced sign up in Guidance is required.

Guidance Events
April - Career Fair
All 2010 graduating seniors should see their counselors ASAP to review credits for Bright Futures, graduation, honors, and AP status.
Junior Registration: 4/26 - 4/30
Dual Enrollment Registration Workshop is 4/28 and 4/29 from 2-3 in building 2, room 127. Remember to bring your parent's driver's license, vehicle registration and voter's registration. Also bring all necessary test scores to determine class eligibility.
Sophomore Registration: 5/10 - 5/17
Honors and AP 2010 graduates may purchase their tassels during the week of 5/24 at a cost of $15.00.
10th graders: Verify with your high schol guidance counselor and the on-line core-course listing to make sure you are on track.
11th graders: Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to make sure that you are on track to meet core-course requirements. After junior year have your guidance counselor send your transcript and ACT/SAT scores to the eligibility center. Then start your amateurism questionnaire.
12th graders: Retest if you have not made the qualifying score: remember to use the code 9999 so that your score can be sent to the elgibility center. Complete your amateurism questionnaire and sign the final authorization signature online on or after April 1st if you are expecting to enroll in college in the fall semesters; spring, final authorization signature on or after October 1st of the year prior to enrollment.
Guidance is accepting resumes from senior athletes who at least a 3.0 cumulative un-weighted grade point average and has demonstrated leadership qualities while competing in his or her sport. These student-athletes are eligaible to recieve the National Scholar/ Athlete Medallion. Students who are interested need to turn in their resumes ASAP to Ms. Brant-Wilson.
