Achievers in Action is an organization for young men and women and its purpose
is to provide students with the exposure necessary in an effort to stimulate interest
in the pursuit of higher educational goals. It establishes a firm foundation so that
young men and women can realize their full potential and become productive members of
our free society through higher education.
Objectives
To develop character and self-awareness among young men and women.
To develop an appreciation for the worth and dignity of others.
To demonstrate the qualities of a well-mannered individual by being courteous and polite.
To become aware of school rules and regulations and to adhere to them to the fullest.
To develop a greater appreciation for school, by respecting school officials and fellow students.
To develop leadership qualities by encouraging others to adhere to school rules and policies.
To become socially adjusted through participation in activities and social functions.
To acquire knowledge and skills necessary to appreciate one’s talents.
To develop to the fullest extent possible individual creative talents.
To develop and understand and appreciation for the role of the family as the basic unit in our society.

To motivate and raise levels of expectation for minority students.
To increase the number of minority students enrolled in advanced courses.
To increase the number of minority students in the top 10% in academic achievement.
To increase test scores for minority.
To increase the number of minority students enrolling in colleges and universities.
